Carol Parsons is the firm’s Business Manager and assists in all financial areas of the firm including, client trust accounts, payroll, taxes, client billings, payables, and receivables. She serves as treasurer for PLF and occasionally assists in specialized client projects as well as operations for the firm. In 1977, Carol obtained her B.A. in Marketing from University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, with a minor in Accounting. She brings business experience from several sales/marketing positions, previous law office management, commercial real estate, as well as a retail wine/cheese store she opened and operated in Seattle from 1983-1988. While she assists Parsons/Burnett, LLP part-time, her passion has been launching a boutique Washington winery, Red Sky, which she, along with others, began in 1999. She is the wine-maker. Her top priority in life is with raising three beautiful children, William (16), Maria (13) and Michael (11). Carol spends her free time traveling, boating, scuba diving, skiing, camping and enhancing her wine appreciation.

Anissa Q. Smith joined Parsons/Burnett, LLP in 1997, after having worked for Mr. Parsons at a previous law firm. She is responsible for filing reports, registration statements and various documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission, assists with all probate matters as well as all estate planning documents. Mrs. Smith obtained her paralegal certificate in 2001, is a Notary Public for the State of Washington, and is a member of the King County Bar Associations’ Legal Assistant Program. In her off time, she enjoys the great outdoors of the Northwest by camping, biking or playing with her two children. .

Kirsten Cook is the newest addition at Parsons/Burnett, LLP, joining in June of 2005. As the Legal Secretary for the firm, she is responsible for day-to-day operations of the office, including client contact, database management, billing, scheduling and case/file management. Previously, Kirsten has worked as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager in the corporate and legal fields, and brings to Parsons her strong assistant, communication and multi-tasking skills to Parsons/Burnett, LLP In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys singing with her jazz group at retirement homes and private functions. Kirsten's friendly, professional attitude and her attention to detail makes her an invaluable member of our firm.
